Episode 6:
Person of Interest

In strictly practical terms, Jesus was unremarkable. His earthly ministry lasted only three years. His family was not powerful or influential. He did not lead armies or embrace military might. He was even buried in a borrowed grave. And yet there is not a single person in all of recorded history who has impacted the world so dramatically. To those with the eyes to see and the ears to hear, His Gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). In this final episode, J. Warner Wallace restates the compelling evidence that Jesus was who He said He was.

Step 1: Watch Episode 6

Step 2:
Read and Meditate on Scripture

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived,
ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

(Romans 1:19-20)

Step 3:
Questions For Discussion

  1. What can we learn about God from nature? From the world around us?

  2. Think back to your life before you knew Christ. Did you feel something was missing? What pursuits or ideologies did you embrace to fill the “God-shaped hole”?

  3. Without relying on historical documents or Scripture, what would you tell someone who says, “There is no evidence for God”?

Step 4:
Take Time in Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for writing eternity in our hearts—for filling your creation with signposts that point directly to who you are and who Jesus is. Forgive us for those times when, even as Christians, we seek to find fulfillment and security outside of Christ.
Amen.
