Prayer

At Focus on the Family Africa, we believe prayer is a powerful way to assist families. Every week, our staff prays individually for the needs that have been shared with us.

Advice

We know that life can be overwhelming and it can sometimes be difficult to know how to navigate the trials we face. But we want you to know you’re not alone! Focus has over 30 years of experience responding to the needs of families. Our trained counsellors can answer your query directly to your email.

Counselling

Our team of professional Christian counsellors are available to speak with you and we offer a range of counselling formats. (Note that appointments are dependent on availability of counsellors)

  • Telephone counselling – for a free, one-time phone consultation.
  • Online Counselling – set up an appointment for a Zoom online counselling session for a suggested donation of R200 (or R250 for a couple)
  • Face to Face Counselling – set up an appointment for a face-to-face counselling session in Botha’s Hill KZN or Queensburgh KZN, (Our  New Counselling Centre is now open on specific days at Faith Centre Ministries International , 341 Stella Road, Queensburgh) or Claremont, Cape Town for a suggested donation of R325
  • Referral Network – We can also get you connected with a Christian counsellor in your area. Click here for our Referral Network.

Events/Courses

We offer a range of workshops, webinars, counselling courses and support groups, both online and in person throughout the year. Find out more and sign up to attend our next offering.
Some examples of our events include:
Suicide prevention series (Based on the ‘Alive to Thrive’ programme – a biblical guide to preventing teen suicide)
Webinars on Anxiety, Depression, Grief , Trauma and Stress
Managing stress and anxiety for teens
– A one hour online or face to face talk with teens at your school or youth group (Offered in isizulu or English)
Online support groups offered on a range of topics
Online and face to face events on mental health
