Step 1: Watch Episode 2

Step 2:

And I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective
for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.”

(Philemon 1:6, ESV)

Step 3:
Questions For Discussion

  1. Bob and Jenni share that they each connect with God in different ways. They also mention that they both benefit from learning the other’s experience. What are some differences you have as a married couple when it comes to growing in your faith?

What are some benefits you can experience because of those differences?

  2. Do you place your source of happiness, identity, etc., in God or your spouse? Why? How can you actively make God the source so that your spouse can be a journeying partner instead?

  3. What are some ways your spiritual intimacy as a couple could benefit those around you?

Step 2:
Take Time in Prayer

LORD,
You are the most important person in our lives, and we need to find our joy and peace in You, rather than in each other.
Grow us and help us make You the center of our lives.
When we don’t depend on each other – but on You – for our every need, our marriage can become even stronger.
Thank You for blessing us with this marriage, and thank You for the relationship we get to enjoy with You.
Amen.
