Step 1: Watch Episode 2

Step 2:
Read and Meditate on Scripture

“Do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.”

(Colossians 3:21 ESV)

Step 3:
Questions For Discussion

  1. What tone of voice does your child seem to respond best to? What tone of voice do they seem to respond the worst to?

  2. Think of different things you ask your children to do. How can you explain the consequences they’ll face if they disobey?

  3. What circumstances make you feel angry in parenting? What are some techniques you can think of to soothe that anger, before talking to your child?

Step 4:
Take Time in Prayer

Father,
I know my actions can provoke You like my child provokes me, but You always deal with me in a loving way.
Help me do the same with my child.
Teach me to be gentle yet firm when instructing them, and give me the patience I need.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
