Survive: In partnership with Blessman Ministries, we provide food aide to over 800 orphans and children on a monthly basis. Our annual campaign, Clothe-A-Child, raises funds to buy school uniforms for our learners. We also respond to needs as they arise, utilizing our network of donors and volunteers who want to give back to the community, including infrastructural needs at daycares and orphanages.

Thrive: We have a number of youth programmes on offer, most of which focus on character building, goals setting, and psychosocial support. We also train caregivers and parents in the community on parenting skills which complement our youth programmes.

Succeed: Our aim is the see youth in our communities get educations, jobs, and have redeemed family lives. We assist with application fees for university, FET programmes, and hope to be able to match them in corporate learnership / job skills training programmes.

No-Apologise
No Apologies – Our energetic facilitators speak the truth about life, love, and sex with learners in schools across the country. Our facilitators are vetted for not only character but passion to work with youth. They love what they do and it shows! Learners build trust with the facilitators which creates a positive, open environment for youth to share what’s really going on with someone who can help point them in a positive direction. No Apologies has been running in South Africa for over a decade and we have impacted hundreds of thousands of youth through this life changing program. We work with the Department of Education, school principals, parents, and community members to bring our program to learners all over the country. Through sponsorship from corporates and donors we are able to offer this program for free to children who most need it. For more information contact our team at noapologies@fotf.co.za.
Qhawe Kids!– What’s your greatest fear? Every week, we work with 21 youth on overcoming their fears, so that they can grow feeling that rush of exhileration at being victorious, and hopefully apply that attitude towards the challenges they face every day at home and school so they can excel at life. That’s why we call our program Qhawe Kids!—“Qhawe” means “Victory” in Zulu. For a lot of our orphans and vulnerable children, they don’t have positive social interactions with peers or adults. They have no mentors or older people to look up to and model their lives after. They also have nothing constructive to do after school. This leads to isolation, fear, hopelessness, and getting into a lot of trouble. Through Qhawe Kids! we offer a sense of community for the kids, who socialize through sports. The kids learn how to break out of their shells by trying something new every week, and are taught that they can overcome the challenges life has presented to them. We are currently reaching kids in two communities, Shongweni Valley and Kwadabeka. Our partners are Spirit of Adventure Trust and Clermont Public Swimming Pool who donate their facilities and trainers to join us in uplifting youth.

Tales-of-Hope
Tales of Hope – Imagine you just finished Matric, you haven’t gotten into university, you are unemployable, and you have to go home to a house full of 6 kids depending on you for supper that night. What would you feed them? How would you cope? What would be your motivation to carry on? This is the state of hopelessness our child-headed homes face every day. Many of them haven’t even finished school yet and most won’t. Our goal is to change that outcome for them. Through Tales of Hope, we aim to offer hope the hopeless. Our facilitator meets with a group of children from child-headed homes, most of them the head of their home, and through peer support the kids realize right away they are not alone. They build a community amongst themselves and our curriculum shows them that they can have hope for a better life. We also provide for whatever physical needs we can, and hope to offer a feeding scheme to the children to take the pressure off being the sole provider for their siblings so that they can focus on their studies until they matriculate.
