Step 1: Watch Episode 3

Step 2:
Read and Meditate on Scripture

“With patience a ruler may be persuaded, and a soft tongue will break a bone.”

(Proverbs 25:15)

Step 3:
Questions For Discussion

  1. Why do you think it helps to say “the magic word” after a request? Do you think you’ll try this with your child?

  2. When making requests, which are you: hesitant, firm, or aggressive? If you’re hesitant or aggressive, how can you change your tone?

Step 4:
Take Time in Prayer

God,
Help me use my words well when speaking to my child.
Give me the wisdom and patience to ask them to do things without stirring them to anger.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.
