2017 Trauma Workshop | Focus on the Family in partnership with Hillcrest Presbyterian Church and Psychologist Claire Newton
With the global increase of violent crime, divorce and other forms of trauma – most people are emotionally wounded at one stage or another. We ALL need to learn how to manage trauma and handle these potentially devastating events.
This workshop will equip and empower you to help yourselves, families, friends and communities.
No experience in working with trauma required.

What this workshop will cover:
- Trauma & the symptoms of trauma
- The difference between Acute Stress Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- What to do and what not to do with trauma
- Children and trauma
- Trauma counselling basics
- Panel discussion with counsellors. Case studies will be discussed (You can submit these prior to event)
